P0182 - Fuel Temperature Sensor A Circuit Low

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Ford Pickup, 2008 Ford F550 Super Duty, 2008 Ford F450 Super Duty, and 2008 Ford Cab & Chassis. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
P0182 - FUEL TEMPERATURE SENSOR A CIRCUIT LOW

Description:  The powertrain control module (PCM) continuously monitors the fuel rail temperature (FRT) sensor input to determine if the FRT signal is within an expected range. The test fails when FRT voltage is lower than expected.
Possible Causes:
  • FRT circuit short to ground in the harness
  • FRT sensor connection
  • Low ambient temperature operation
  • FRT sensor
Diagnostic Aids:  Monitor the FRT voltage and temperature PIDs on a scan tool to isolate open or short circuit from the system concern.
