P0168 - Engine Fuel Temperature Too High

P0168 - ENGINE FUEL TEMPERATURE TOO HIGH

Description:  The powertrain control module (PCM) continuously monitors the fuel rail temperature (FRT) sensor input. The test fails when the fuel temperature exceeds a maximum calibrated value for a calibrated period of time.
Possible Causes: 
  • Fuel or engine cooling system concern
  • Fuel rail temperature (FRT) sensor concern
Diagnostic Aids:  Repair any fuel cooling pump DTCs or engine cooling system concerns before proceeding.
Application    Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory
