Carry out the following preliminary checks:
- Check for correct engine oil level.
- Check air intake system: Air filter restriction gauge, inlet for obstruction/restrictions. Reset the air filter restriction gauge.
- Check fuel quality. Refer to PERFORMANCE DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES , Sufficient Clean Fuel Test.
