Test L: Air Bag Warning Indicator Always On/Inoperative: ZX2

Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect instrument cluster 10-pin harness connector C254. See Figure. Measure resistance between ground and instrument cluster 10-pin harness connector C254 terminal No. 9 (Pink/Green wire). If resistance is more than 10 k/ohms, go to next step. If resistance is less than 10 k/ohms, repair air bag system concern. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article in RESTRAINTS.
Visually inspect instrument cluster printed circuit for damage, cracks or hot spots. If instrument cluster printed circuit appears okay, replace air bag warning indicator bulb. Retest system operation. If instrument cluster printed circuit appears damaged, replace printed circuit and gauge contact clips. See PRINTED CIRCUIT under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Retest system operation.
