Removal and Installation

All Vehicles 

1. Remove the headlamps. For additional information, refer to EXTERIOR LIGHTING .
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
NOTE: If equipped, remove the five pin-type retainers from the chin spoiler.

3. Remove the air dam.
   1. Remove the seven screws.
   2. Remove the three bolts.
   3. Remove the air dam.
4. Remove the LH and RH front fender splash shields.
   1. Remove the eight screws.
   2. Remove the two pin-type retainers.
   3. Remove the front splash shields.

5. Remove the front bumper cover bolts.

   Taurus 

6. Remove the pin-type retainers and the radiator grille.

7. Remove the pin-type retainers.

   Sable 

8. Unclip the bumper cover from the radiator grille opening support.
9. If equipped, disconnect the fog lamp electrical connectors.

   All Vehicles 

10. Remove the four front bumper cover bolts.

NOTE: The bumper cover clip must be pushed outboard to unclip it from the fender.

11. Unclip and remove the front bumper cover.
12. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
