Removal and Installation

NOTE: If the side air bag has been deployed, inspect the B-pillar trim panel for damage and install a new panel if necessary.

NOTE: Inspect the D-ring cover for damage. If the cover is damaged or will not remain closed, install a new cover.

Using the special tool, remove the safety belt D-ring cover and the D-ring bolt.
Remove the upper B-pillar trim panel.

Remove the front scuff plate.

Remove the lower B-pillar trim panel.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
