Removal and Installation

  1. Disconnect the battery cables. For additional information, refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT .
  2. Remove the nut and disconnect the battery positive cable from the power distribution box.

  3. Remove the body ground cable, bolt.

  4. Raise and support the vehicle.
  5. Remove the battery ground cable nut (4V).

  6. Remove the battery cable harness retaining bracket nut. Remove the bracket and the engine ground cable from the stud (2V).

  7. Remove the battery cable harness from the harness bracket.

  8. Remove the starter motor solenoid terminal cover.

  9. Remove the starter motor positive cable nut and disconnect the B+ cable. Remove the battery cable harness assembly from the vehicle.

  10. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
