Water Pump - 3.0L (4V): Installation

Connect the connector hose to the water pump.

Position the water pump and install the mounting bolts. Tighten the bolts in two stages:
- Stage 1: Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Stage 2: Tighten an additional 90 degrees.

Install the radiator bypass hose assembly.

Connect the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sender and the water temperature sender electrical connectors.

Connect the upper radiator hose, the heater water hose and thermostat housing the hose.

Install the radiator upper front cooling tube bolt.

Install the water pump belt. For additional information, refer to ACCESSORY DRIVE .
Install the battery and the battery tray. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
Install the air cleaner assembly. For additional information, refer to REMOVAL & INSTALLATION .
Raise and support the vehicle.
Install the lower cooling tube bolt.

Connect the heater water hose to the bottom of the water pump.

Install the splash shield. .
Fill the engine cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING .
