Removal and Installation

Raise and support the vehicle.
Remove the front splash shield. For additional information, refer to FRONT END BODY PANELS .
Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING .
Remove the cooling tube bolt.

Lower the vehicle.
Remove the radiator upper cooling tube bolt.

Disconnect the upper radiator hose, engine vent hose and thermostat housing hose.

NOTE: Battery removed for clarity.

Remove the three bolts, and separate the thermostat housing. Remove the thermostat and the O-ring. Discard the O-ring.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Clean all sealing surfaces.
