Oil Pump: Removal

Remove the timing drive components. For additional information, refer to TIMING DRIVE COMPONENTS .
Remove the dual converter Y-pipe. For additional information, refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM .
Drain the engine oil.
- Install a new drain plug gasket and tighten the drain plug to 27 Nm (20 lb- ft).
Remove the 18 bolts and the oil pan.

Remove the nut, bolts and the oil pump screen and pick-up tube.

Remove and inspect the O-ring seal.

Remove the bolts in the indicated sequence and remove the oil pump.
