Removal and Installation

Remove the camshaft followers. For additional information, refer to CAMSHAFT ROLLER FOLLOWER .

NOTE: Mark the position of the hydraulic lash adjuster to make sure they are assembled in their original positions.

Remove the hydraulic lash adjusters.

NOTE: Inspect the hydraulic lash adjusters and install new lash adjusters as necessary.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Lubricate the hydraulic lash adjusters with clean engine oil.
