Valve Cover RH: Installation

NOTE: Do not clean the valve cover gasket with solvent. Damage to the valve cover gasket may occur.

Using metal surface cleaner, clean the cylinder head mating surfaces.

NOTE: If the RH valve cover is not secured within four minutes, the sealant must be removed and the sealing area cleaned with metal surface cleaner. Allow to dry until there is no sign of wetness or four minutes, whichever is longer. Failure to follow this procedure can cause future oil leakage.

Apply a bead of silicone gasket and sealant in two places where the cylinder head and intake manifold meet.
Install the valve cover gasket, if removed.

Install the RH valve cover.

Route the spark plug wires.

Install the fuel charging wiring harness.

Install the degas bottle hose.
