Oil Pan: Removal

Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
Raise and support the vehicle.
Remove the dual converter Y-pipe. For additional information, refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM .
Remove the starter motor. For additional information, refer to STARTERS .
Remove the bolt and the engine rear plate.

Drain the engine oil.

Remove the 16 bolts and the oil pan.

Remove the oil pan gasket from the oil pan.

Using metal surface cleaner, clean the oil pan sealing surfaces.
