Hydraulic Lash Adjuster: Removal

NOTE: For a valve train noise concern, inspect the valve-to-rocker arm clearance, rocker arms and push rods for wear. For additional information, refer to ENGINE SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .

Remove the lower intake manifold. For additional information, refer to LOWER INTAKE MANIFOLD .
Remove the pushrods. For additional information, refer to PUSH ROD .
Remove the tappet guide plate retainer.

Remove the valve tappet guide plates.
