Exhaust Manifold - RH: Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable (14301). For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Remove the cowl vent screen and cowl extension. For additional information, refer to FRONT END BODY PANELS .
  3. Disconnect the oxygen sensor (HO2S) (9F472) electrical connector.

  4. Remove the exhaust manifold to exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve tube. For additional information, refer to REMOVAL & INSTALLATION .
  5. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield.
    • Remove the bolts.
    • Remove the heat shield.

  6. Disconnect the catalytic converter from the exhaust manifold.
    • Remove the bolts.

  7. Remove the six bolts and the exhaust manifold.
    • Remove the six bolts.

  8. Remove the RH exhaust manifold (9430) and the exhaust manifold gasket (9448).
    • Discard the exhaust manifold gasket.
