Cylinder Head LH: Removal

Remove the lower intake manifold. For additional information, refer to LOWER INTAKE MANIFOLD .
Remove the accessory drive belt. For additional information, refer to ACCESSORY DRIVE .
Remove the retainers and the engine anti-roll strut brace.

Disconnect the generator electrical connections.

Remove the retainers and the generator.

Remove the bolt and the drive belt idler pulley.

Remove the bolt and the drive belt tensioner pulley.

Remove the spark plug wires.

Remove the LH exhaust manifold. For additional information, refer to EXHAUST MANIFOLD LH .
Remove the power steering pump and bracket assembly.
- Disconnect the power steering return hose.
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the two nuts.

Remove the eight cylinder head bolts.

Remove the cylinder heads.

Remove and discard the head gasket.
