Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the pump pulley. For additional information, refer to POWER STEERING PUMP PULLEY-CIII .
  2. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the power steering reservoir-to-pump hose (3E525).

  3. Loosen the fitting and disconnect the power steering pressure hose (3A714).

  4. Remove the bolts and the power steering pump (3A674).

  5. Using the special tool, install a new seal on the power steering pressure hose fitting.

  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  7. Fill and leak check the system. For additional information, refer to STEERING SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
