Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the steering column. For additional information, refer to STEERING COLUMN .
  2. Remove the brake pedal position switch.
    1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
    2. Remove the clip.
    3. Remove the switch and the bushing.

  3. Cut the wire tie.

  4. Disconnect the speed control deactivator switch electrical connector.

  5. Disconnect the electrical connector.

  6. Detach the wiring harness retainer.

  7. Detach the accelerator cable.

  8. Detach the electrical connector from the brake pedal bracket.

  9. Remove the nuts.

  10. Remove the nut.

  11. Remove two bolts and the brake pedal and bracket (2C434).

  12. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
