Seat Control Switch - With Seat Integrated Restraints (SIR): Installation

- Position the seat control switch and install two screws.
- Connect the seat control switch electrical connector.
- Position the side trim cover. Install the three trim cover screws.NOTE: Bend the side shield slightly to insure the shield is not scratched by the recliner lever.
- The seat backrest pivot bolt shaft must be inserted into the cover standoff.
- Push the rearward lower corner of the side shield to engage the metal retaining clip.
- Position the lumbar adjuster control. Install the two mounting screws. Install the adjuster knob.
- Position the seat back recliner lever cover. Install the screw.

- Reactivate the supplemental restraint system (SRS). Refer to Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Deactivation and Reactivation .WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, read and follow all warnings, cautions, notes and instructions in the supplemental restraint system (SRS) deactivation/reactivation procedure.
- With all the restraint system diagnostic tools removed, prove out the supplemental restraint system (SRS). Refer to AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS
.WARNING: The restraint system diagnostic tool is for restraint system service only. Remove from the vehicle prior to road use. Failure to remove could result in injury and possible violation of vehicle safety standards.
- Check the active restraints for correct operation. Refer to SAFETY BELT SYSTEM .
