Water Pump - Gasoline Engines: Removal

Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding .
Remove the engine cooling fan and clutch. Refer to COOLING FAN - Blade, Clutch and Shroud, 5.4L, 6.8L, 7.3L Diesel .
Remove the drive belt. Refer to ACCESSORY DRIVE .
Remove the coolant pump pulley (8509).
1. Remove the bolts.
2. Remove the coolant pump pulley.

Remove the bolts.

Remove the (A) coolant pump from the (B) cylinder block.
- Clean and inspect the mating surfaces.
