Removal and Installation

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding .
  2. Remove the cooling fan and clutch. Refer to COOLING FAN - Blade, Clutch and Shroud, 6.0L Diesel Engine .
  3. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to ACCESSORY DRIVE .
  4. Remove the bolts and the coolant pump pulley.

  5. Remove the bolts and the coolant pump.
    • Remove and discard the O-ring seal.

  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Clean and inspect the coolant pump mounting.
