Cooling Fan - Blade, Clutch and Shroud, 6.0L Diesel Engine: Installation

All shrouds

Install the lower fan shroud.
Install the cooling fan and stator assembly.

NOTE: Fan and radiator removed for clarity.

Install the stator bolts.

NOTE: Use a hole in the fan hub to prevent the fan from turning.

Using the special tool, tighten the cooling fan and clutch.
Position the cooling fan wiring. Connect the cooling fan electrical connector.

New shrouds
Install the upper shroud. If necessary, drill both sides of the shroud at the locations shown.

All shrouds
Install the four upper to lower shroud screws.

Install the shroud to stator seal.
Install the air cleaner assembly.
