Oil Pump: Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable (14301). Refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Remove the engine front cover (6019) and crankshaft sprockets (6306). Refer to Timing Drive Components .
  3. Remove the oil pan (6675). Refer to OIL PAN - Automatic Transmission  or OIL PAN - Manual Transmission .
  4. Remove the oil pump (6600).
    • Remove the bolts.
    • Remove the oil pump.
