Removal And Installation

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING article.
  2. Disconnect the rear parking brake cable and conduit. For additional information, refer to REMOVAL & INSTALLATION article.
  3. Remove the axle shaft. For additional information, refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION article.
  4. WARNING: Use tools, not fingers, to hold flagnuts. Flagnuts may slip or spin unexpectedly when removing fasteners. Failure to follow this instruction may result in injured fingers.
  5. Remove the 4 retainers and the brake caliper anchor plate.
    • To install, tighten to 68 Nm (50 lb-ft).
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
