Test K: Radio Interference

  1. Verify Radio Interference

    Start engine and let idle. Tune radio to station where interference is present. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect upper generator 3-pin connector. Start engine and let idle. If interference is not still present, install a new upper generator. See GENERATOR (UPPER)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If interference is still present, go to next step.

  2. Verify There Is Radio Interference

    Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Connect upper generator connector. Disconnect lower generator 3-pin connector. Start engine and let idle. If interference is not still present, install a new lower generator. See GENERATOR (LOWER)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If interference is still present, repair radio concern.
