Restraints Control Module (RCM): Removal

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS  . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING SYSTEM  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
  2. Remove center console. See Figure . Pinch thumb tab and pivot connector position assurance lever away from RCM, disengaging the lever. See Figure . Push down on retaining tab and disconnect small RCM harness connector. Remove RCM mounting nuts and RCM. See Figure .
