Test J: Restraint System-Impact Sensor Status (DTC B2296): Description

Restraints Control Module (RCM) checks crash sensor circuits for faults. If RCM detects low resistance, open circuit, short to battery or short to ground, it will store DTC B2296 in memory and flash Code 42, 43, 45, or 46 on AIR BAG warning light.
