Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. On vehicles with dual batteries, see DUAL BATTERIES  under MISCELLANEOUS. Raise and support vehicle. Release fuel system pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE .
  2. Disconnect fuel pump, fuel warmer and water-in-fuel electrical connectors. See Fig 1.
  3. Remove fuel hose retaining clips and discard. Disconnect fuel hoses from fuel pump. See FUEL LINE CONNECTORS .
  4. Remove mounting nuts and fuel conditioning module. To install, reverse removal procedure. Install NEW fuel line clips. Tighten mounting nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
