High Pressure Oil Pump: Removal

- Remove intake manifold. See appropriate ENGINES article. Remove turbocharger heat shield. See Figure.
- Remove the high pressure oil pump cover bolts. See Figure. Using a thin gasket scraper, separate cover from the crankcase. Remove and discard the press-in-place gasket.
- Remove the high pressure oil pump discharge pipe bolts. Using the Quick Release Coupling Disconnect Tool, disconnect the high pressure oil discharge pipe. See Figure. Remove and discard the "D" ring seal. Remove and discard high pressure pump "O" ring seal. See Figure.
- Remove high pressure oil pump bolts and remove pump. See Figure. Remove and discard lower high pressure oil pump "O" ring seal. See Figure.
