High Pressure Oil Pump: Installation

- Install NEW lower high pressure oil pump "O" ring seal. See Fig 5. Install high pressure oil pump and bolts. See Fig 4. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install high pressure pump "O" ring seal. See Fig 3.
- Install high pressure oil pump discharge pipe and bolts. See Fig 2. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Position Dial Indicator With Bracketry onto oil pump drive and check oil pump drive gear backlash. See Fig 6. Install a new "D" ring seal on the high pressure discharge pipe.
- Install a new press-in-place gasket in the high pressure pump cover. See Fig 7. Clean cover mounting surface and apply sealer at the seams. Install high pressure pump cover and bolts. See Fig 1. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install turbocharger heat shield. See Figure. Tighten heat shield bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Install intake manifold. See appropriate ENGINES article.
