Fuel Injector Sleeve: Installation

  1. Verify fuel injector bore is clean and dry. Position fuel injector sleeve onto Injector Sleeve Installer. Apply Threadlock® 262 to the very bottom (smallest diameter) and very top (largest diameter) flat areas. See Fig 7.
  2. Position fuel injector sleeve into cylinder head fuel injector bore. Seat the fuel injector sleeve in fuel injector bore using a rubber mallet. See Fig 8. If any sealant gets into the inside of the injector sleeve, it must be cleaned out before it hardens.
  3. Install press-in-place gasket to rocker arm carrier and NEW dowels in cylinder head. See Fig 2.
  4. Install rocker arm carrier and bolts. See Fig 1. Tighten rocker arm carrier bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  5. Install lifting bracket on cylinder head and install cylinder head. See appropriate ENGINES article.
