Exhaust Gas RECIRCULATION Valve: Removal

  1. Disconnect EGR valve electrical connector and charge air cooler tube. Remove intake adapter. See Figure.
  2. Remove throttle plate adapter. See Figure.
    3. CAUTION: Do not pull EGR valve out or damage to EGR valve will occur.
  3. Remove bolts and rotate EGR valve counterclockwise. See Figure. Install EGR Remover and remove EGR. See Figure.
  4. Remove and discard EGR "O" rings. Vacuum out ash and foreign material from inside the intake manifold.
