Knock Sensor

On 3.0L 2V engines, KS is located on right side of engine just above oil pan. See Fig 1. On 3.0L 4V engines, Knock Sensor (KS) is on right side rear of engine, near bellhousing. See Fig 2. Disconnect negative battery cable. Raise and support vehicle. Disconnect KS connector. Remove KS bolt and KS. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten KS bolt to specification.
