Removal & Installation (3.0L 4V)

  1. Remove hoses, loosen clamps and remove air cleaner outlet tube. Remove pin-type retainers and remove accelerator cable splash shield. See Figure.
  2. Disconnect throttle cable and cruise control cable. See Figure. Remove bolts and the throttle cable mounting bracket. See Figure.
  3. Remove pushpin and position engine wiring harness out of the way. Disconnect PCV hose at intake manifold and remove. See Fig 1.
  4. Remove PCV valve by rotating valve 180 degrees and remove PCV valve from oil separator. See Fig 2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten all fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
