Harness Shorts

The purpose is to check the harness for short circuits (to ground or power).
- Key off only.
- DLC disconnected from any scan tools.
- Disconnect the component and PCM from vehicle harness.
- Using a digital multimeter, measure between the signal circuit and signal return circuit or power ground circuit or vehicle power.
- If reading is less than 10 ohms, then the two circuits may be shorted.
