Diagnostic Aids

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) reset occurs when PCM momentarily "reboots" or is turned off and on while engine running. If condition occurs a single time, engine will momentarily stumble and PCM will go through a normal key on cycle, including turning WAIT TO START light and glow plugs on. It will also attempt to validate accelerator pedal position. If accelerator pedal is not at idle position when fault occurs, pedal authority will not be allowed by PCM until accelerator pedal is released and engine speed returns to idle.
