Performing Self-Test

To perform self-test, turn ignition off. Ensure test equipment is properly attached and all accessories are off. If vehicle is equipped with an auxiliary powertrain control system (RPM control), it must be turned off before performing self-test.
- Perform the necessary vehicle preparation and visual inspection.
- Refer to the scan tool manufacturer manual for scan tool instructions.
- Select KOER output state control.
- Follow special instructions on screen.
- Use scan tool to access output PIDs.
- Cycle output state on EGR, ICP, injectors, visctronic fan, VGT, RPM and fuel pump.
- Select PIDs.
- Activate OSC.
- After test has been completed, cycle ignition off before performing other self-tests or driving vehicle.
