Valve Lifter: Removal

- Remove appropriate cylinder head. See CYLINDER HEADS .
- Remove retaining bolt and camshaft follower guide. See Fig 1.
- Mark valve lifter location for installation reference. Remove valve lifter from cylinder block. If necessary to disassemble valve lifter, remove retainer and components from valve lifter body. See Fig 2.
