Rocker Arm Assembly & Push Rod: Removal

  1. Remove the valve cover. See VALVE COVERS .
    2. NOTE: Be careful when removing the rocker arm snap retaining clip. DO NOT lose the rocker arm steel ball.
  2. Remove the 16 rocker arm bolts, the 8 rocker arm assemblies, and the push rods. See Figure.
  3. Remove the retaining clip. See Fig 1. Remove the rocker arm pedestal from the rocker arm. Remove the steel ball from the rocker arm.
