Removal & Installation

WARNING:
Clean all the fuel residue from the engine compartment. Failure to do so can cause personal injury or damage to the vehicle.
NOTE:
Fuel heater is located inside fuel filter/water separator housing, just below fuel filter/water separator filter.
- Remove the fuel filter/water separator assembly. Remove the fuel filter cap and element. See FUEL FILTER/WATER SEPARATOR .
- Remove the fuel filter heater thermostat screws. See Fig 1. Pull the thermostat out of the fuel filter/water separator housing.
- Disconnect the fuel heater element electrical connector. Remove the screws and the fuel heater. See Fig 2.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure. Install the fuel filter/water separator assembly. See FUEL FILTER/WATER SEPARATOR .
