Removal & Installation: Flywheel: Installation

- Install the flywheel guide studs. See Figure. Install the flywheel and ring gear assembly and reinforcing ring. Install the reinforcing ring. On all vehicles, install the remaining flywheel bolts.
- Remove the flywheel guide studs, install 2 flywheel bolts and tighten the flywheel bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Restore the vehicle to operating condition. Install the clutch disc and pressure plate. See CLUTCH ASSEMBLY for 2002 models or CLUTCH DISC AND PRESSURE PLATE for 2003 models. Install the transmission. See CLUTCHES article for 2002 models or MANUAL TRANSMISSION for 2003 models.
