Pinpoint Test W: An Individual Reversing Lamp Is Inoperative

  1. W1 CHECK FOR GROUND AT THE INOPERATIVE LAMP 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: Inoperative Reversing Lamp.
    • Measure the resistance between the inoperative reversing lamp, harness side and ground as follows:
      REVERSING LAMP CONNECTOR & CIRCUIT REFERENCE

      Explorer Lamp Connector-Pin Mountaineer Lamp Connector-Pin Circuit
      LH C4017-1 LH C451-1 1205 (BK)
      RH C4016-1 RH C461-1 1205 (BK)
    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    • Yes  : REPAIR circuit 140 (BK/PK). TEST the system for normal operation.
    • No  : REPAIR circuit 1205 (BK). TEST the system for normal operation.
