Installation (F250-F550)

  1. Install the flywheel guide studs. See Figure or Figure . Install the flywheel and ring gear assembly and reinforcing ring. On vehicles with 6.0L and 7.3L, install the reinforcing ring. On all vehicles, install the remaining flywheel bolts.
  2. Remove the flywheel guide studs, install 2 flywheel bolts and tighten the flywheel bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Restore the vehicle to operating condition. Install the clutch disc and pressure plate. See CLUTCH ASSEMBLY  . Install the transmission. See TRANSMISSION  .
