Clutch Master Cylinder & Reservoir (F150): Removal

  1. Disconnect the clutch master cylinder push rod from the clutch and brake pedal pivot shaft lever. Disconnect the Clutch Pedal Position (CPP) switch. See Fig 1 .
  2. NOTE: On vehicles equipped with air suspension, prior to raising vehicle, turn off electrical power supply to air suspension system. Air suspension switch is located in right side kick panel area.
  3. Remove the pushpins and remove clutch master cylinder reservoir. See Fig 2 . Raise and support the vehicle. Disconnect the clutch hydraulic line from the slave cylinder.
  4. CAUTION: Clean all rubber clutch master cylinder parts with High Performance DOT 3 Motor Vehicle Brake Fluid (C6AZ-19542-AB).
  5. Lower the vehicle. Remove the clutch master cylinder reservoir and clutch master cylinder. Rotate the clutch master cylinder 45 degrees clockwise. See Fig 3 . Clean all clutch master cylinder components.
