Installation (F150)

NOTE: The self-adjusting pressure plate should always be adjusted before installation.

Adjust pressure plate. See PRESSURE PLATE (OFF-VEHICLE) under ADJUSTMENTS. Position the clutch disc on the flywheel.
Use Clutch Aligner (308-090, T83T-7137-A), to align the clutch disc. See Fig 1 . If reusing the pressure plate and flywheel, align marks made during removal. Position the pressure plate on 3 dowels. Align the pressure plate.
Install the pressure plate to flywheel and tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Remove the clutch aligner. See Fig 2 .
Install the transmission. See TRANSMISSION . Operate the vehicle to check clutch operation.
