Removal & Installation

  1. Remove battery and battery tray brackets. Drain cooling system. Remove instrument panel. See appropriate INSTRUMENT PANELS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. Disconnect heater hoses from heater core. See HEATER HOSE COUPLING . See Figure. Remove 2 plenum assembly nuts from engine compartment. See Fig 1.
  2. Remove 2 plenum assembly nuts from under instrument panel. See Fig 2. Lower plenum assembly and remove assembly from vehicle. To install, reverse removal procedure.
