Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Rotate center instrument panel finish panel vents inward. See Fig 1. Through vent openings, grasp center instrument panel finish panel and pull outward. Detach center instrument panel finish panel.
  2. Disconnect Passenger Airbag Deactivation (PAD) switch connector. See Fig 2. Disconnect 4WD control switch connector (if equipped). See Fig 3. Remove center instrument panel finish panel.
  3. Remove 4 screws attaching control panel to instrument panel. See Fig 4. Pull control panel far enough from opening to disconnect electrical connectors and illumination light. See Fig 5. Disconnect vacuum harness connector. Remove control panel from instrument panel.
  4. To install, reverse removal procedure.
