Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Ford Windstar and 2002 Ford Windstar. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
  2. Disconnect the brake pedal motor harness connector. See Figure .
  3. Remove the 2 screws and disconnect the transmission cable assembly from the adjustable pedal motor. See Fig 1 .
  4. Remove the adjustable pedal motor bolts. See Fig 2 .
  5. Remove the adjustable pedal motor.
  6. CAUTION: The brake and accelerator pedals must be in the same position when installing a new motor or transmission cable(s). Both pedals must be in the maximum retracted or maximum extended position.
  7. To install, reverse removal procedure. Hand-tighten the adjustable pedal motor bolts.
