Removal & Installation

Perform pressure relief/fuel line venting procedure. See REMOVAL, OVERHAUL & INSTALLATION - F150 PICKUP - GASOLINE article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. Disconnect battery ground cable. Raise and support vehicle. Disconnect tank temperature sensor harness connector. Remove tank temperature sensor. To install, reverse removal procedure. Replace fuel tank pressure sensor "O" ring. Lubricate "O" ring with 5W-30 engine oil prior to installation. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
