Removal and Installation

Release the tension on the rear parking brake. For additional information, refer to PARKING BRAKE CABLE TENSION RELEASE .
Separate the parking brake cables at the parking brake equalizer.

Remove the 2 wires form bracket bolts from the frame rail and position the cable and conduit aside.

NOTE: The parking brake cable and conduit must be routed to the outside of the leaf spring assembly.

Remove the parking brake cable bracket bolt from the LH spring bracket.
Release the parking brake cable from the LH parking brake bracket assembly.

Rotate the parking brake cable 90 degrees to release it from the parking brake actuating lever and remove the cable.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
